Downtown Phoenix Continues To Rise And Thrive

Sunday September 1, 2024 5:50PM MST As Phoenix continues to be on track for the hottest year and summer ever recorded, signs in and around the Downtown area show that the heat won’t waver the growing demographic. It seems as if on every corner there’s erecting skyscrapers being assembled.

“It’s hard not to notice the huge tower cranes floating around the downtown area.” says Nate Rubino, a recent resident of Downtown Phoenix by way of Salt Lake City, Utah. “We are having a home built in Goodyear, so we are temporarily staying in the Ave Phoenix Sky Apartments here” which by-the-way just opened their doors in January of 2024. Ave Phoenix Sky is a sixteen-story luxury apartment building in the middle of the downtown phoenix area, with another seven story apartment location one block away.

According to Explodingtopoics.com, Phoenix is the ninth fastest US Metro in the country, a city that also surpassed five million residents in 2023. People are coming from all over even as record heat continues to swamp the metro area, and highway construction so intense it’s rerouting commuters every weekend.

The Phoenix Light Rail cuts right through the downtown corridor and traveling all the way east through the city of Tempe and Mesa. Construction for opening tracks for the light rail to zip through Cityscape in downtown is near complete, offering party goers and restaurant patrons easier access to the popular spots.

“We’re just happy to be in a place that isn’t cold anymore, and my wife and I are looking forward to building a family and life here, I know this heat is bad but cooler temps are just around the corner.” says Rubino.

So it seems as if the heat isn’t deterring those that want a different life in “The Valley”. So the people and the tower cranes are speaking, and it’s the downtown area that’s all the talk in the last few years, and there are no signs of anything in downtown slowing down.
